The CNDS Interdisciplinary Grant has been awarded to four projects

Following a highly competitive call with a large number of strong applications, the selection process has now been finalised. The projects selected reflect a broad range of interdisciplinary approaches to sustainability, resilience, and climate-related challenges across different geographical contexts.

The following projects have been selected:

  • Understanding the role of culture in heat adaptation: a comparison between Swedish and Japanese urban populations in warm summer humid continental climates
  • Assessing the impacts of hydro-climatic extremes on water supply in Sweden through text mining
  • Strengthening local government resilience and preparedness for flooding and heavy rainfall: a case study of Valencia, Spain
  • Water scarcity and drought mapping in Aldeia Barra Velha, Brazil

Due to the high quality of submissions and the strong competition, many meritorious proposals could not be supported in this round.
