Immersive Learning: Escape Room Built on CNDS Research

Escape room Ewa is preparing for the session

Preparation for the Escape room session

Thursday the 18th of September Ewa Livmar from CNDS + Centre for Environment and Development Studies, CEMUS was asked to be a dilemma owner, designing and setting up a session for the ENLIGHT European University leadership programme.

Participants were thrown into a ‘Wicked problems’ escape room – where research met activism, climate change, and natural hazards, and where boundaries were put to the test. Under time pressure, they faced real-life events and challenged their ability to act under stress. The exercise sparked engaged conversations about shared experiences, cultural expectations, and the crucial importance of dialogue. A clear example of CNDS research in practice!
