The 2025 CNDS-EGU-TRANSCEND summer school
During last week the annual CNDS summer school was held. The 27 international early career scientists gathered for a week full of lectures, discussions and workshops on the interplay between natural hazards (e.g., floods, droughts, wildfires and earthquakes) and vulnerable societies, including associated risks and uncertainties.
Together with senior researchers in the forefront of this field, students discussed and proposed solutions to complex problems in Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR). After a successful week with many new contacts and a growing CNDS summer school alumni network, CNDS set out for an eventful autumn term.
