CNDS Research webinar Extreme events under a changing climate gathers early-career and leading researchers
The focus of the webinar was the role of climate change in the occurance of future extreme weather events, also from an intergenerational perspective
CNDS organized on 7th February a Webinar under the title Extreme events under a changing climate, moderated by CNDS postdoctoral researcher Sara Lindersson (Uppsala University).
PhD candidate Ferran López-Martí (UU) presented his research on Changes in the concurrence of atmospheric rivers and explosive cyclones in the North Atlantic, with comments and discussion by PhD candidate Kévin Dubois (Uppsala university).


Svitlana Krakovska, senior researcher ath the Applied Meteorology and Climatology Department, Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Institute, shared with the audience her experience in contributing to the IPCC reports, and how early-career scientists can contribute to this scientific effort.

Finally, Wim Thiery, Associate Professor at the Department of Water and Climate, Vrije Universiteit Brussel ellaborated more about his project on the future impact of climate extreme events in future generations.
