The CNDS Interdisciplinary grants for 2024 have been awarded

Jenni Koivisto (KaU), Riccardo Biella (UU) and Shakti Raj Shrestha (UU) have been awarded funding for their interdisciplinary projects on natural hazards and disaster science

This year, the CNDS Interdisciplinary grant goes to:

  • Jenni Koivisto (Postdoctoral researcher, Karlstad University), with her co-applicant Frederike Albrecht (Swedish Defence University) for their project 'A Workshop for creating an international research network on food security'.
     
  • Riccardo Biella (PhD student, Uppsala University) for his project ‘A Research Residence Proposal for Advancing Climate Services through Serious Gaming’.
     
  • Shakti Raj Shrestha (Postdoctoral researcher, Uppsala University), with co-applicants Jeanne Fernandez (PhD student, Uppsala University), Garima Nakarmi (Nepal) and Nistha Nakarmi (Nepal), for his project 'Understanding Indigenous climate change adaptation and disaster risks in rural Nepal'.
