The next big crisis could be a volcano

What is it like to lead a research group remotely during a full-brown pandemic?  On the Curie pod, CNDS fellow Steffi Burchard tells us about her efforts to pursue research in the mist of the Covid-19 pandemic. But she also talks about the upcoming Swedish research government bill and the importance of funding and supporting basic research so that we can be better prepared for the next big crisis... no matter what that may be, whether it be a pandemic or a massive volcano eruption.

Together with her research group, Steffi studies what goes on in volcanoes before they erupt and the impact a looming volcano eruption threat has on the way we humans plan and organize our lives.
