Change in policy regimes for disaster risk reduction in Fiji and Nepal


It is time for us to learn more from stories of progress and success in developing contexts and move the focus from failures to positive developments within the DRR sector.

In the present paper, CNDS fellow, Maximilian Wanner, discusses this bias based on the adaptation deficit argument, which suggests we should expect the most vulnerable countries to struggle with adaptation due to their socio-political characteristics and heavy exposure to natural hazards. The findings are extremely interesting and relevant for the constantly changing world we live in.
